I have been using only baking soda to wash my hair and apple cider vinegar for a few months now. I LOVE it. I was using deva curl prior to switching but I don’t miss it at all. For hair gel I use aloe Vera gel with honey added to it. My hair is so happy. Hubby swears he doesn’t crave pickles when near me and can’t smell the vinegar at all once my hair is dry.
Where is an inexpensive ACV brand sold? I use Braggs for recipes but I wouldn’t spend that much for my hair, unless there were no other options. I put ACV in a small spray bottle and use it as deodorant. It works better than any commercial deodorant I’ve ever purchased.
I use acv 🙂 but I’m not fond of the smell, so to mask it and add herbal benefits I place a handful of dried herbs in the bottom of a glass jar… herbs like rosemary, rose petals, horsetail….then cover with vinegar and set in warm water and heat up for a few minutes. I shake the jar daily and let infuse for two weeks before use. I take a few spoonfuls and add it to two cups of distilled water and use through clean hair. It smells really good and leaves my hair and scalp feeling awesome.
